Out and about

Hello there.

Can you believe we are already at the end of January??  One whole month of 2014 gone just like that.  With school back and people well and truly back at work and into regular routine the weeks are going to start to fly.

There's not much happening quilt event wise this week, although the Australia Wide Three exhibition in Wodonga is still running (until 8 February).

It might be a good idea to prepare for the hot weekend ahead though - it's going to heat up again here in Victoria, but not for days on end like the other week thank goodness.

Until next week, have a great weekend!

Out and about

Hello everyone. I stumbled across one quilt exhibition on at the moment:

The Australia Wide Three exhibition which runs until 8 February at the Wodonga Arts Space venue in Victoria. The exhibition is described as follows:

"A professionally selected exhibition of members’ work, AUSTRALIA WIDE THREE will excite viewers with the infinite possibilities of ‘the quilt’ in art. The exhibition features 34 stitched, layered 40x40cm (16x16in) works showcasing original and diverse interpretations of contemporary textile art from some of Australia’s leading and emerging quilt artists".

If you are in the area you should check it out.

Until next week, happy sewing!

Until then, have a great week and thanks for reading!

Update

Hello again. I just realised I forgot the time for Saturday's meeting if you want to come along - DUH!!

Start time is 10am but if you can't make it to this one, a great way to remember when we meet, is that meetings are held on the 3rd Saturday of each month starting at 10am.

Keep cool if you are in Victoria.  It's only a number of hours away now before he cool change arrives - hopefully!

First meet for 2014

Hello everyone. I hope wherever you are you are keeping cool. The heat has been unrelenting this week in Victoria and will continue until tomorrow, so you just have to hang in there for one more night!

If one of your new year resolutions has been to turn your patchwork and quilting interest into something more, then come along to our first quilt group meeting for 2014 this Saturday. We meet at the lower plenty senior citizens club at 86 Main Road, Lower Plenty.

If you can't make it along though, hopefully we will have some show and tell photos for you from Saturday's meeting.

Once there are quilting events happening again around the State, we will resume notifying you of them.

And one last thing worthy of mentioning is the fact that this blog has had over 1000 page views! I know it's not many in the scheme of things (and the billion of blogs out there) but it shows that someone is reading, and it's not just me! A big thank you to our readers - it's what it's all about!

Stay cool and see you soon!
