The only quilt event on this weekend is the AUSTRALIAN QUILTERS ASSOCIATION INC EVENT: AQUIP - "Water, Warp and Weft" which finishes up on Saturday:
When: November 14th -December 21st
Where: Whitehorse Art Space, Whitehorse Road, Box Hill.
Christmas is only 6 sleeps away (yikes!!) which means this will be the last out and about post for this year. The year has gone fast.

The group was created to provide some comfort to survivors following the devastating Victorian bushfires in February 2009 . We are a non-profit group that creates quilts to raise funds for those in need.

Out and about
Hello everyone! I'm a day late I'm afraid. I was hoping it was still Thursday, but no such luck. Apologies for the delay in posting.!

Out and about
Hello everyone.
Its a wet and cold day here in Melbourne. We were sweltering earlier in the week with 36 degrees and today, well, it's hailing and about 13 degrees as I type. Crazy.
Anyway, quilt shows for this weekend are limited to the AUSTRALIAN QUILTERS ASOCIATION INC EVENT: AQUIP - "Water, Warp and Weft" which is still running:
When: November 14th -December 21st
Where: Whitehorse Art Space, Whitehorse Road, Box Hill
There's only 20 sleeps til Christmas day so if you haven't already done so, it's time to get into gear for present shopping (and even making??) as well as thinking about all that glorious Christmas food!

Out and about

This upcoming weekend sees the following quilt show being held in Ivanhoe:
PATCHWORKERS and QUILTERS GUILD OF VICTORIA INC EXHIBITION
When: 30th November-10am-5pm; 1st December 10am-4pm.
Where: Ivalda Masonic Centre, 40 Salisbury Avenue, Ivanhoe.
Refreshments and shopping available.
Also, the AUSTRALIAN QUILTERS ASSOCIATION INC EVENT: AQUIP - "Water, Warp and Weft" is still running:

Another important event to let you know about is a very special one being held this Saturday, and it's very close to The Patchwork Gallery Quilt Group's heart: Black Saturday - The Tree Project. The completed Tree will be unveiled this Saturday from 1pm - 4pm at the Whittlesea Showgrounds. Click on the link above for more details. Our quilt group has a leaf on the tree in memory of all that was lost in those devastating fires in 2009.
Whatever you get up to this weekend, enjoy it!

Out and about
Hello everyone.
I think the title of this post should be "I'm late, I'm late for a very important date!".
In the pre-silly season madness and fast pace with which the days are slipping by, I only realised today was Saturday which meant I forgot to post this week's out and about before the weekend. Please accept my apologies!
Fortunately, the following quilt event is running tomorrow:
GEELONG PATCHWORK and QUILTERS GUILD INC EXHIBITION 2013
When: 22 - 24th November; 10am -4.30pm
Where: Deakin Waterfront Campus Geelong, Gheringhap Street, Geelong
Entry: $8.00
Special features: This is a biennial event and features the work of guild members. A wide range of contemporary and traditional quilts will be on display, including this year, a special project: Envisioning Geelong.
Also, the Australian Quilters Association Inc event : AQUIP - "Water, Warp and Weft" is still running:

The quilt group is having its Christmas party this Saturday instead of its usual group meeting (we are getting in early!!). The year has gone quick but it will be great to have everyone together to celebrate both personal and group achievements from this year and discuss projects for the upcoming year!

Out and about

Well this week's out and about post will be a very short one as there aren't any quilt shows or exhibitions being held around Victoria this upcoming weekend. Maybe its a sign to get to work at home on our own quilt projects??
