Out and about

Hello there. It looks like summer has finally arrived in Melbourne with some warm days ready to roll in.

On the events front, there isn't much of a change from last weeks post - there are still a few long running events being held this weekend:

**THE FASHION WORLD OF JEAN PAUL GAULTIER - NGV MELBOURNE**
When: Until 8 February 2015
Where: National Gallery of Victoria, St Kilda Rd, Melbourne
What: The first international exhibition of the unconventional and playfully irreverent designs of Jean Paul Gaultier. See NGV website for details.


**'WOVEN WORLDS: TEN YEARS OF 'EN PLEIN AIR' TAPESTRIES BY CRESSIDE COLLETTE - ARARAT**
When: until 22 March 2015
Where: Ararat Regional Art Gallery, Vincent St, Ararat
What: An exhibition of exquisite and finely woven landscape tapestries by Cresside Collette. See Ararat Regional Art Gallery for details


**LOVE DESIRE AND RICHES - WINCHELSEA**
When: Until 28 Feb 2015 - Open Wed to Sun and public holidays: 11am – 4pm
Where: Barwon Park Mansion, 105 Inverleigh Road, Winchelsea
What: The Fashion of Weddings- A collection spanning 200 years of famous and rarely seen wedding gowns from world-leading designers and celebrities. Book thru the National Trust website


**CHRISTMAS AT THE JOHNSTON COLLECTION - EAST MELBOURNE**
When: Until 24 February 2015 (see The Johnston Collection website for tour times and bookings)
Cost: Full $27, concession $25, groups of 8+ $23, after-hours tour $35.
What: Artists and makers from Victoria’s Geelong and Surf Coast region create a spectacular new arrangement for Christmas at the Johnston Collection. 45 artists and craftspeople from the Geelong Artisans Group have been busy putting the final touches to over 180 exquisite new creations which will feature in this year’s T'was the Night Before Christmas tour. Participants include members of Geelong and District Porcelain Painters, Geelong Handweavers and Spinners Guild Inc, Geelong Patchworkers and Quilters’ Guild Inc, Leopold Lacemakers, The Bead Society of Victoria (Geelong branch), The Embroiderers Guild of Victoria (Geelong branch) and The Trolly Dolly Cloth Doll Club Inc, as well as individual artists.
