It's another fresh Thursday Melbourne evening.  Autumn is definitely here.

There are a few events on this weekend:

**BARWON HEADS QUILT SHOW - BELLARINE PENINSULA**
When:  13 - 15 March;  13 March - 4pm - 8pm; 14 & 15 March - 10am - 4pm
Where:  Barwon Heads Community Hall, Cnr Hitchcock Ave and Ozone Rd, Barwon Heads
What:  Exhibition of members work - funds raised assist the quilters in their charity work within the local community.  Entry - $2 per person, children free

**GOLDEN TEXTURES - BIENNIAL CONTEMPORY ART QUILT EXHIBITION - MARYBOROUGH**
When: 21 February - 5 April 2015; Thurs-Sun 10am - 4pm
Where: Central Goldfields Art Gallery, Neill St, Maryborough
What: A juried exhibition showcasing the extraordinary work being created in Australia’s contemporary quilt art circles.

**NINA GOULD & ISABELLE MARTIN - DESIGN & STITCH EXHIBITION - HALLS GAP**
When:  14 March  - 8 April. Open daily except Monday
Where:  Kookaburra Hotel 125 - 127 Grampians Rd, Halls Gap
What:  Innovative fabric piecing and stitching.  Natural fabrics used are bought, recycled, swapped or inherited and they are manipulated and altered with paint, dye or machine or hand stitching for further embellishment. Both traditional and experimental fabric piecing has been used with stitching used for embellishment that reflects the design each individual art work.

**JUDITH BURKE AND JUST FELT LIKE IT - FELT LANDSCAPE, FLOWERS & STITCH EXHIBITION - HALLS GAP**
When:  14 March - 8 April.  Open 10am - 5pm Wed/ Sun
Where:  Halls Gap Estate Winery.  4133 Ararat – Halls Gap Road Halls Gap
What:  Inspirations can come from many places, looking at a sunrise or sunset over the maintains, views from a rise looking over a spectacular landscape, flowers or abstract shapes. Seeing how you can interpret the ideas into a wonderful felt creation is the aim of this exhibition

**GRAMPIANS TEXTURE TWILIGHT MAKERS  MARKET - HALLS GAP**
When:  14 March:  5 pm – 7 pm
Where:  Lawn area - Stony Creek shops, Halls Gap
What:  Students and tutors from Grampians Texture  workshops sell their wares. 

**CASTLEMAINE BRANCH - EMBROIDERS GUILD OF AUSTRALIA EXHIBITION - 'LET DREAMS TAKE FLIGHT' - CASTLEMAINE**
When:  14 - 18 March; 10.00am - 5.00pm Saturday to Tuesday
10.00am - 3.00pm Wednesday
Where:  Mount Alexander Golf Club,  Wimble St, Castlemaine
What:  Quality hand worked items for sale.  Light refreshments. Entry: $5.00

**MY FIBRE - TEXTILE WORKS EXHIBITION BY ANDREA McCALLUM - YARRAM (STH GIPPSLAND)**
When: 5 March until 31 March (open 7 days a week except Wednesdays)
Where: Courthouse Gallery, Cnr Commercial Rd & Rodgers St, Yarram
What: Textile works incorporating natural fibres particularly silk and wool, free-motion machine embroidery and felt making. See CourtHouse Gallery Yarram for further details.

**TAPESTRY ARTIST-WEAVERS DEBBIE HERD AND JAN LEISHMAN - ARARAT REGIONAL ART GALLERY**
When: Until 15 March 2015
Where: Ararat Regional Art Gallery, Vincent St, Ararat
What: An exhibition of tapestry works by Debbie Herd and Jan Leishman who each pursue the interplay of colour and enjoy the physicality of weaving strands of colour together to create their woven artworks.

**WOVEN WORLDS: TEN YEARS OF 'EN PLEIN AIR' TAPESTRIES BY CRESSIDE COLLETTE - ARARAT**
When: until 22 March 2015
Where: Ararat Regional Art Gallery, Vincent St, Ararat
