Textile related events on this weekend include:

**GOLDEN TEXTURES - BIENNIAL CONTEMPORY ART QUILT EXHIBITION - MARYBOROUGH**
When: Until 5 April 2015; Thurs-Sun 10am - 4pm
Where: Central Goldfields Art Gallery, Neill St, Maryborough
What: A juried exhibition showcasing the extraordinary work being created in Australia’s contemporary quilt art circles.


**NINA GOULD & ISABELLE MARTIN - DESIGN & STITCH EXHIBITION - HALLS GAP**
When: Until 8 April. Open daily except Monday
Where: Kookaburra Hotel 125 - 127 Grampians Rd, Halls Gap
What: Innovative fabric piecing and stitching. Natural fabrics used are bought, recycled, swapped or inherited and they are manipulated and altered with paint, dye or machine or hand stitching for further embellishment. Both traditional and experimental fabric piecing has been used with stitching used for embellishment that reflects the design each individual art work.


**JUDITH BURKE AND JUST FELT LIKE IT - FELT LANDSCAPE, FLOWERS & STITCH EXHIBITION - HALLS GAP**
When: Until 8 April. Open 10am - 5pm Wed/ Sun
Where: Halls Gap Estate Winery. 4133 Ararat – Halls Gap Road Halls Gap
What: Inspirations can come from many places, looking at a sunrise or sunset over the maintains, views from a rise looking over a spectacular landscape, flowers or abstract shapes. Seeing how you can interpret the ideas into a wonderful felt creation is the aim of this exhibition


**SLIPSTITCH - CONTEMPORARY EMBROIDERY - ARARAT**
When: Until 17 May 2015. Mon to Fri 10am - 4.30pm; Sat, Sun & Public Hols 12-4pm
Where: Vincent St, Ararat
What: 'Slipstitch' is an Ararat Regional Art Gallery and NETS Victoria touring exhibition which presents an Australian perspective on the contemporary uptake of embroidery by a new generation of artists and considers how the unique attributes of the medium of embroidery are employed as a vehicle for artists exploring personal narratives.
