2015 Quilt Show
Hello!
The group held its Biennial show over the past weekend, 21-22 March, in Lower Plenty.
The show was a resounding success and a huge thank you must go out to all the members of our group for their participation and all the hard work in getting the show organised and packed up which helped make it a success.
There must also be a huge thank you sent out to everyone who came to see our exhibition, bought raffle tickets and provided us with such wonderful compliments and feedback - thank you for your support - it means so much to us!
The raffle was drawn and the prizes won. Following are some photos of our members receiving various awards for their exhibited quilts. Two additional awards were handed out - one for best Child's Quilt to Christine (a quilt that included (quilted) drawings by her grandson) - she received a fabric pack from Kate's Sewing Centre, and Best Large Quilt went to Helen D (for her Mocha quilt) who received a Gourmet Living Voucher.
A collection of thank you's from the community for which the group has made quilts

2015 Quilt Show
In the lead up to the group's quilt show on 21-22 March, the group has a couple of displays in Ivanhoe and Greensborough to show off some of our fabulous quilters and their work.
Deb has one of her amazing quilts on show at the customer service area in the Banyule Council offices at 275 Upper Heidelberg Rd, Ivanhoe. It's called 'Dance of the Butterflies'.
At Greensborough Shopping Centre go have a look at the Diamond Valley Community Support shop (next to Riot Art & Craft) - we have a full window display of work. You have to see it in person - photos through glass just don't cut it.
And after you have done that, put our show details in your diaries so you don't forget to come - 21-22 March at the Lower Plenty Senior Citizens Centre, 86 Main Rd, Lower Plenty. There you will be able to see everything else we do, meet some of our members and even join up if you would like to!
