There aren't a lot of independent quilt shows on this weekend, however, there is the Stitches and Craft Show being held in Melbourne at Caulfield Racecourse (directions here). The show runs from today until Sunday (10am - 4.30pm) and they have all manner of crafting and stitching goodness at this show as well as a quilting trunk show from members of the international art quilt group SAQA (Studio Art Quilt Associates) on display. The group was created to provide some comfort to survivors following the devastating Victorian bushfires in February 2009 . We are a non-profit group that creates quilts to raise funds for those in need.
